650 ml bottle. Pours a pinkish orange with a light head of big bubbles. Aromas of barnyard, wheat, and dank fruit. Dry biscuit/malt/wheat flavors.

Golden, mushroomy aroma, fuggley? (not getting any modern hops here). Soft. Earthy moderate bitterness. Mid-90s IPA. Balanced, light biscuity and a touch caramelly.

Draught @ Vancouver Craft Beer Week Festival 2014, Vancouver, BC

Quite malty and stuffy for an APA, feels more like an English pale ale. Smooth, slightly watery and crisp bitterness. A bit boring.

Murky blond color with compact head. The aroma is a bit papery, not very interesting. Soft and dry mouthfeel; the malt has an interesting note of fresh white bread; the final is drier, a bit weak, although the bitter note in the very end is out of place; not much wheat flavor, and luckily no honey.
I would to try the same base beer, but cleaner and a bit fruity, citrusy.

On tap at the Bitter Tasting Room, pours a dark copper amber with a small beige head. Nose brings out toasted malt, toasted nuts, and herbal notes. Flavour brings out earthy malts, toasted nuts, and light herbal notes. Quite well-balanced actually, with a nicely herbally, toasted nut finish. Decent bock.

Dark amber color, clean, with small creamy head. Very mild aroma, some caramel and apple. Good body structure, although the mouthfeel is rather dry; caramel flavor with a roasted nut accent; correct bitterness; the final is a bit bready.
More Amber Ale than Bock, not enough malt or caramel.

Reddish dark brown. Smells thin, nutty, bland. Body is a bit better than the nose indicated, but it’s still this thin, nutty thing. Not really getting it done.

A bit murky medium brown. Aroma is mellow and coffeeish. Taste is sweet up front, with a bit of coffee kicking in late. Finishes sweet. Ok coffee stout, balanced and mellow.

Hazy blond color with compact head. Nice aroma of hay and cereals. Dry buy soft mouthfeel; the malt flavor is quite crispy, with a good accent of hay and cereals, and a bready impression; correct bitterness with light grassy hops. Harmonious.
Fresh and satisfying. A good choice.
