Can from Tavour. Pours ambery gold with a large foamy white head that went down quickly. Aroma is tmavy malty with some floral and an earth note. Med body. Flavor is malty, but not really sweet. It's bitter enough to fight the malt - floral, earthy and a slight citrus note. Not strongly flavored, but quite pleasant.

On tap at Chuck's Greenwood, pours Blafk with a small tan head. Aroma brings out medium roast, a touch of wood, and dry black liquorice. Flavour is liquoricey, with lots of star anise, liquorice root, and medium roast. Hmm, the spiciness is quite odd here. Okay, but not my thing.

Can. Pours a clear golden hue with a medium white head. A light citrus nose. Smooth, dank, some lemon, big grapefruit. Solid.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with intense bourbon and whiskey barrels, with lots of toasted caramel, dark sugars, and even more woody barrel character. Flavour is full of intense bourbon whiskey barrel, moderate sugars, toasted caramel, and a touch of dark dried fruits. Massive whiskey character, which is not the most elegant, but still very pleasing.

Dark brown, not a lot of carbonation. Big bourbon aroma, and I swear there's some calvados. On the palate, again with huge bourbon, nice fruity complexity from the barley wine, light roasty stout, medium bitterness. I like the blend - there's a freshness to it, which is something I appreciate in a blend, that resuscitation factor.

Poured from 473mL can (presumably 2023 vintage - both Willet barrels). Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Woody whiskey and some dark dried fruit, feint chocolate, very feint wood glue on the nose only, decent.
RB 3.8 = 7.6 tick
