Draft pour pint at Elliott Bay Pizza, Mill Creek. Fun to run into this brewery and this style. Been a minute on both parts! Shiny golden pour, mostly clear. Oily thin lasting head, sticky lacing. Dank pine and citrus hops nose. Really nice bold and bitter piney hop flavor with just enough of that spicy rye. Biting IPA with a resinous hop linger. This really is an awesome IPA. Why do we so seldom see rye beers these days, when such a little amount goes such a long way towards making a beer so satisfying? Love this one here.

Pale brown, some haze, but not much head. The aroma has a touch of plastic, but there's a bit of raisin. On the palate, some alcohol, touch of fruity, touch of soft fruits. Hint of orange rind, and there's plum as well. Definitely boozy. The Willett doesn't seem to be having the best possible impact here.

Can from the brewery. Light golden pour with a thick white head. Moderately hopped aroma.. citrus and pine. At first the flavor is a little muted, but opens up nicely as it warmed. Fairly deep bitterness hides the malt bill. Still given the bitterness its approachable. Solid PNW IPA.

Draft at Varietal. Nearly black with a thin brown head. The smell of vanilla and bourbon barrel is outstanding. Good depth of flavors with a heavy roast, earthiness and faint bitters to balance with the vanilla and bourbon sweetness. Excellent beer.
