Draft pour pint at Tipsy Cow. Mostly clear copper pour with a soap bubble head. Mild aroma of earthy hops. Flavor is very mild, with hop hints and straw. Not bad, but a bit watery for my usual pale enjoyment. I suppose it was refreshing. Going on my retry list.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. Rating #2006, the year that brought us The Lost Abbey. I guess this was a damn good year. For anyone who reads my ratings and wonders why the hell I’m adding random year facts, don’t worry, I’m running out of years, and I won’t be predicting the future. Listed as Chain line Barspin Porter. Brown porter doesn’t seem necessary. Any non brown porters out there? ISO. Pours brown with a thin fizz head. Toasty aroma with a steady malt and hint of vanilla. Flavor is a close match, malt forward, and hints of rye? Maybe. Solid porter here. Local beer usually wins.

Draft pour pint at the collective. Pours a clear golden orange color with a patchy fizz head. Ton of lace. Sweet orange fruit aroma. Flavor is sweet up front, but turns bitter quick. Tropical fruit throughout. An overall good IPA here. Good to finally try a beer from these guys.
