750mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light dark fruitiness, toasted malt, and a little bourbon. Flavour is rather thin on the barrels, with toasted bready malt, some light oak, and toasted caramel. Could use some more barrels, as the body is rather thin. It's balanced well and quite pleasant overall, but lacking in body and complexity. Decent.

Dark brown. Medium, bubbly head. The aroma is a bit toasty, nutty. On the palate, it’s a bit thin, and ultimately it misses a fair bit because there is not a whole lot of body, so residual sugars are lacking, and without those none of the imperial porter or bourbon barrel characteristics are going to come through. Disappointing.

750 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, roasted malts/barley and salty nuts. Flavors of same with bourbon being subtle; plus additional notes of raisins and bread crusts. Mellow and a little thin, but nice.

Draft pour pint at The Collective. Dark and dense ruby pour with a thin fading head. Sweet, caramel malt aroma. Flavor is a nutty caramel malt. Malt profIle almost converts to a fruit like character. Maybe it’s just the sweetness. Has a stronger feel than it is. Overall a fun addition to the style. A fruity, sweet malt red, unique, and tasty. Unique, but remains true. I like it.

Sample at Tap House Grill. Clear dark amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of malt, fruit and a bit of hops. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Last keg ever of this, and since I’m the first to rate, I might just be the last. Challenge extended. Pours a dark copper brown color with a tan cream foam head. Dominant hops aroma. Flavor is hoppy, toasty, roasty, and all kinds of other ’oasty. Very clean, and a low bitter, nutty finish. Good hop profile to compliment everything else. Well executed CDA. Very impressed with this beer.

Draft 12 oz pour at Chainline. Cloudy, shiny golden color with a thin film head. Excellent fresh hops profile aroma. Flavor is well balanced. Hinted bread malt, with a good amount of bitterness. Flavor is overall light, making this a good summer IPA. Easy drinking beer. Solid. Update: more creamy and citrus heavy than before. A delicious IPA here.

Draft 12 oz pour at the brewery. Light clear golden color with a bubbling foam head. Corny aroma, soft grain. Flavor is mostly clean, grain, corn, hop hinted finish. Not bad, but doesn’t amaze me as a pils. UPDATE- Quite a while has passed. Time to give this the deserved retry. Hladinka pour at Chainline. Totally on board with the Czech taps here. A much nore refreshing pils here, as far as flavor goes, compared to my first experience. Solid pils.

Draft 12 oz pour at the brewery. Pours a muddy amber color with a fizz ring head. Aroma is nutty, and a bit of a brown sugar. Flavor is nutty, no sweet malt, but bold. Big flavor for a small beer. Quite nice, but fits in with other milds for me

First beer in an upcoming series of single hop additions to this base, poured at the brewery. Clear copper pour with a patchy fizz head. Aroma is sweet grain and grassy hops. Very light and simple drinking pale here. Finishes with a clean grain, and low bitter hops. Overall an exceptional beer here.
