500ml @ Ryan's (thx for the beer!) shared with Farees, Josh, and Alex.
Aroma: a bit abrasive (as usual) cognac barrel, slightly smoky.
Taste: along the same lines, moderately sweet, nice body, very inky, loads of abrasive cognac barrel.
Overall: well, this is a miss, hehe.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Near black with small beige head. Boozy dry cognac, slightly leathery, okay. Least favourite of the three Immortalis I've tried so far.

Dark brown. No head. The aroma is all about the port barrel and dark toffeeish sugars. On the palate, the dark fruits, the port, the dark sugars, all hitting. Is it refined? Don't know. But it has a great character, lots of it, and it's dry, big port, yeah that's quality.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is exquisite, with intense tawny port, putting everything else to the background. Flavour has intense tawny port, dark dried fruits, and a touch of bready caramel. This is driven by the port and beautiful dark fruity maltiness. Very good.

Poured from 500mL bottle (bottled 01/2025). Very dark brown with small light tan head. Tastes like a totally different base beer than Sacrifice II. Dark fruits and molasses with underlying tawny port notes. Medium body.

It's got some syrup to it. Dark amber, and light head. The peach brandy is fairly prominent on this, the rum being more in the background. The base seems a bit hot, maybe some phenols. This isn't bad.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany / near-black with a small beige head. Aroma is surprisingly elegant, with plenty of peach brandy, some perfumey rum, and dark dried fruits. Flavour is surprisingly cohesive and tempered, with a nice peach brandy expression, very subtle rum, dark dried fruits, and some brown sugar. Great barrel cohesion, with great base malts. Excellent.

Poured from 500mL bottle (bottled 02/2022). Dark brown with small light beige head. Peach brandy with feint rum on the nose. Taste has a dark fruit underlay with the peach brandy and rum, not a ton of complexity in the base, but everything blends together quite nicely here.

500mL bottle. Pours very dark brown with a brown head. Tons of bready malts, dark sugars, tawny port, and gentle roast on the nose. Flavour has tawny port, dark sugars, bready malts, and a gentle roast; very similar to the nose. This is great.

500mL bottle. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Lots of peach brandy and dark sugars on the nose; rum is present but in the background. Flavour has lots of dark sugars, sweet golden raisins, peach brandy, some harsh spiciness from the rum that's more in the back. Mouthfeel is soft with gentle carbonation. Nice, this comes together very well.
