Pours a beautiful deep shade of, well crimson, with a huge fluffy beige head that sticks to everything. Fruity and caramel malts mixed with earthy grassy citrus hops just about sum up the aroma on this one. I got an intense blast of citrus when I popped the cap open but that was short lived. Taste is caramel and dark pitted fruit mixed with an earthy spicy bitterness. Long lingering earthy grapefruit finish. Resinous and creamy mouthfeel, medium body and carbonation level. Wow I’m kind of impressed. Nice balanced red ale at a reasonable price compared to its peers. Great luscious creamy mouthfeel. Too bad its a "limited release" Points off for the screw top cap.
