On tap at Bottoms Up on 09/03/2010. Very clear golden body with a small white head. Sweet floral hop aroma on a pale malt background. Somewhat grainy floral hop flavor on a pale malt background. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours amber with a decent whit head. Aroma is nicely floral/citrus. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Could be a touch of diacetyl in the flavor. Otherwise nice floral/citrus hop over a slightly roasted malt. Finishes a bit buttery, but definitely bitter.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, amber-honey with a mild, white head. Bready malt aroma with some caramel. Flavor is sweet with notes of toasted biscuit, caramel, butterscotch, and lightly bitter with some earthy hops. Medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes sweet with some modest bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Sacramento, CA. Pours light gold with a slight foamy white head. Light citric aroma. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is light malt with a touch of citrus. Finishes bitter, but with a papery note. Better than Bud.

Bomber from some store in San Diego! Pours hazy amber with a slight, but foamy, off-white head. Damn, if it doesn’t smell like espresso. Medium body with mild, foamy carbonation. Flavor starts espresso, moves to a suggestion of chocolate, heads towards coffee, and seems to finish with a caramel touch - and then the espresso coffee aspect begins again. I’d say the coffee used is pretty good coffee.

Some random deli in Brooklyn: Copperish-like color with a white head that leaves lacing. Hoppy and earthy aroma (kind of smells like dirt); might have been a little skunked. Heavy on the earthy and caramel malts. Some hops. A little sodaish taste. Not very well-balanced. Their IPA is a whole lot better than this.

Bottle. Nothing special. Pours a mostly clear, light brown with a moderate beige head. Light, sweet malt aroma with some brown sugar. Flavor has more maltiness, with notes of caramel and brown sugar. Light to medium in body. Faint bitters in the tail.

Pours hazy deep amber into a shaker. Fluffy off-white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Espresso and chocolate malt aromas. Crisp with front to back light espresso and a lasting slightly hopped espresso finish.
