Amber colour, pretty clean, with a frothy-fluffy light-beige head, good retention and patches of foamy lacing. Big perfume aromas, kind of shampooey with a base of bready malts, mild caramel and a touch of fruitiness. Perfume also comes out in the taste, but a tad lighter. Malty-fruity flavours too. blend with this. A little too much perfume in this one, to be a good bitter. To be a good beer.

Pours a fairly clean (at first), golden colour with lots of active, very tiny bubble carbonation creating a big creamyish white cap. Herbal aromas with some raisin notes, hints of citrus and oats. Citrus zest taste with some grassy bitterness and drying finish. Again, getting some raisins, and a tad wax. Gets a touch hazier as it pours. Not a bad DDH IPA with good dryness, grassiness and bitterness.

500ml black bottle, black cap, pouring a clean amber colour with very lively, tiny bubble carbonation. The head is beige, fizzing quick enough, but leaving a nice coat over the brew. Some brown powder is seen around the inside of the neck. A nice nose of oak-vanilla, raisins, a touch of gin alcohol and hints of berries, caramel. Gets a tad hazy as it pours, even getting lots of small particles floating around. The taste shows an alcoholic character, creating a bit of bitterness, with prunes, berries, raisins and some woody vanilla. I was not impressed by the normal, canned version of La Tombe, but this one is much, much better.

A slight haze created by a bunch of tiny, transparent particles floating around. Golden-amber colour with an off-white head, average stay and a ring left on the brew. An amber beer nose with the fruity malts, decent grassy hops and then, some smoked wood and hints of maple. This fruitiness (apples), smokiness (burnt wood) and tad maple sap, herbal notes continues in the taste. Some decent drying finish. A caramel malt base mildly all the way. An interesting Amber Ale with a touch of the maple shack.
