Draught at Elizabeth Station, Bellingham, WA
Black color, small head. The aroma is a bit too mild, some roasted malts, then chocolate and a trace of tobacco. Very good chocolate flavor, lean body, smooth mouthfeel. Strong bitterness, but not excessive.
Excellent, balanced, quite elegant too.

a touch of hay, grains of paradise, cardamom, oranges. Full bodied, moderately dry, but nit funky or dry enough. Saison on training wheels. Just not a style most American brewers can do well.

On draft at mohawk bend in LA. Pours a very cloudy pale yellow white with a white head. Hints of elmers glue in the aroma. Sour fermented grain. An intriguing beer.

0.65l bottle @ Craft Beer C.O, London. The pour on this one is deep deep dark brown, and it has a medium sized tan head. On the aroma it has lot's of dark roasted malts, chocolate, chocolate paper, cold coffee and a swift of leather couch. Lovely! The taste also has leather couch, and it's dark and rich malted. A nice oily texture that's average carbonated. Rich roasted coffee and some sweet fudge chocolate. Mildly bitter with a hint of grassy dry hops. So enjoyable to just find - and not to mention tasting this! A really good one! 21.07.2012
