A nice light beer with good flavor. This had the same off flavors as another beer I had here, dirty lines?

22oz bomber pours dark with dark brown edges and mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, earthy coffee, chocolate and sticky musty dried sweetness. The taste seems to go from dark roasted malts to sugary sweetness to earthy dark roasted coffee to chocolate and then into more and more dark roasted coffee notes midway and into the finish. This has a pleasing richness and mouth feel.

Bomber bought at Fred Meyer in CDA, ID. Pours cloudy orange with a thick cream-colored head with great retention. Aroma is cat-pissy, sweet bready malt. Taste starts out sweet for a second before becoming massively bitter and lingering that way long after the swallow. I was hoping for something more resinous and piney, but this is pretty good. It’s probably not optimally fresh.

Bomber bought @ The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a rather small pale brown head that quickly dissipates while leaving some trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with sweet dark bread, chocolate, sweetened coffee, liquorice fudge, caramel, dark honey, prunes, grapes, alcohol and hints of wood and vanilla. Taste is sweet and bitter with toasted malts, chocolate, sweetened coffee, pine, tobacco, wood, orange peal, cookie dough, burnt caramel, vanilla fudge, dark bread, golden syrup, resin, prunes and hints of metal. Mouthfeel is round, slightly dry and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with roasted malts, oily pine, wood, orange peal, resin, sweetened coffee, tobacco, cocoa powder and dark bread.

Bottle @ home. Clear, golden orange appearance with an off white head. A bit spicy yeasty, rich lemon/tangerine citrusy, a little bready aroma. A bit cloying, tangy clementine citrusy, slightly spicy flavor. A little too strong.
