(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 13 June 2009) Amber colour with brief, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of caramel, citrus, pine needles and marzipan. Fruity, malty taste with orange peel, caramel, sweet malt and lots of pine needles in a really hoppy finish. Full body, fairly sweet. Grerat balance between all the piney hops and the malt. Great beer.

Bottle. Pours with a fluffy bone head over a hazed golden orange body with awesome lacing and retention. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, and tons of citrus hops in between. Earthy and chewy caramel notes as well. Taste is pine and grapefruit peel bitterness and a nice caramel-alcohol back bone that melds the flavor for a bitterness focused hop bomb in the best possible sense of the name. Highish residual sugars for the style. Creamy carbonation and quite enjoyable!

Bottle at the Oggi’s Apple Valley location. This brew is a clear dark amber color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, pine and caramel malt. Medium body with a decent amount of piney hops character. Some sweet malt and citrus in the background too. The finish is hoppy with a grapefruit aftertaste. Solid from start to finish.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less. Brilliant copper color with a decent off-white head. Aromas of orange citrus, alcohol, a little bread, and yeast. Medium body with fizzy/frothy carbonation. Flavor is a bit kandi, with citrus, cardamom and light bread. Finishes rather dry. Very smooth. Very good sipper.

Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a deep cloudy orangey color ale with a small foamy head with average retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of a sweet malt base with loads of grassy hops with a dominant bitterness. Taste is an unbalance mix between some grassy and extremely bitter hops with a malt base that I just too sweet for my liking. Body is full with some great carbonation and no alcohol could ever be perceptible over this much hops and malt. I am not sure if my expectation where too high or what, but I didn’t enjoy this as much as expected – the balance between the sweet malt and the bitter and grassy hops is hard to digest…

Draft. Amber beer with a nice off-white head. Grapefruit aroma with caramel and some pine. Rich caramel flavor with grapefruit and somoe resin. Lingering caramel and citrus. Lots of malt, needs a bit more bitterness.
Earlier Rating: 7/27/2005 Total Score: 3.7
Draft. Rich dark amber beer with a nice off-white head. Hoppy aroma (grapefruit/pine) with a lot of sweet malt. Flavor has tons of caramel to back up lots of citrus/pine hops. Velvety/creamy/rich mouthfeel very good. My only complaint was there was too much caramel malt in the flavor - I wish it was toned down a little to let the hops ompletely overpower.

Bottle: Golden copper with a smaller sandy head. Nose is citrusy sweet and floral. Very bright and crisp. Malty and resinlike flavors up front with a lot of floral and citrus hops. Clean, dry finish. Mmmmm, dry hopped! Thanks Sparky77

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of fordest. Hazy, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of peachy hops and caramel. Quite full-bodied with plenty of sweet caramel and fruit. Distinct bitter finish with a solid alcohol burn. 190408

Draught; apparently from Oggis San Clemente. Marks for Appearance are an average, as beer was sampled in weak artificial light after dark. Orange marmalade hops in a rather astringent nose. Hopcake (another!), very bitter, quinine-like, vegetable bitterness. Nearly puckeringly dry, medium bodied. Talk about "over the top"...
