Perth Brewery is always finding new interesting flavourful ideas. This one really works. Pistachios ?! Who would of thought ? Clean copper colour with a big frothy-creamy beige head, good retention and some foamy lacing. Vanilla nose with cherry notes over the darker malts which are lighter in the mix. With time, chocolate malts come out. The pistachios are felt in the taste giving a nice nuttiness to the beer. The vanilla is lighter and the roasted malts lingers with a tad tartiness. If you like cherry cola and beer, this is a beautiful blend. Very good for the holidays.

Can that pours a clean golden-amber colour with an off-white bubbly-frothy head, decent stay and lots of foamy lacing. The hops do not seem like Cascade at all. They smell like the woody-green leaf. The same hop notes are felt in the taste. Nothing too offensive, but really not what I was expecting from Cascade hops which are usually fresh and vibrant. A light dryness in the mouthfeel. Decent bitterness saves this one a bit. Seems better than when it was last rated in 2016.

This ale poured a nice medium amber colour with a big, light tan coloured head. Med lacing. Scents include caramel, berries and brown sugar. First swig was just a little thin but made up for it in the flavour. Flavours of caramel and a little ripe fruit. Finish is malty with a tiny bit of hops lingering.
