(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 19 Sep 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, toasty malt and orange peel. Fruity, malty taste with notes of citrus, orange peel, grapefruit, a touch of resin, grainy malt and a dry finish with a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh, tasty and highly drinkable. Nice one.

Draught @ BrewDog Gbg. Pours reddish pale black with a frothy and creamy beige head that leaves some thick lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty, slightly fruity and slightly grassy with roasted malts, caramel, toasted cereal, grapefruit juice, mango, coffee hard candy, moist soil, moist grass, pine needles, sweet liquorice candy and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, slightly malty and herbal. Mouthfeel is soft, astringent, slightly watery and light bodied. Finish is bitter with roasted malts, caramel, grapefruit juice, dark roast coffee, moist grass, moist soil and lemon zest. Sessionable but a bit harsh and thin. Bottle @ Johns. Pours pale yellow with a huge white head, lively bubbles. Aroma of malt, yeast, fruity hops, citrus. Flavor is malt, grass, fruit, citrus, grapefrit. Thin to medium body, lively carboantion, light bitter finish. 241015

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich hops, flowers, grain, malt and flowers. A little too carbonated. Bitter finish.

330 ml bottle. Unclear golden body with a small off-white head. Medium aroma of fruit, ripe fruit and some malt. Flavor is medium sweet malt, citric fruit, mature fruit and moderate in bitterness for an IPA. Medium body and average aftertaste. OK, drinkable, but many “medium’s” here to impress.

(Keg at BrewDog Helsinki, 20151019) The beer poured clear and nearly black. Aroma had burnt malts, liquorice and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, spiciness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A brew with unpleasantly burnt taste.

Keg at BrewDog Södermalm, Stockholm. Clear ruby/black, small head. Passionfruit, red berries and licorice up front. Dry with light body and clean, crisp mouthfeel. Minty licorice and grapefruit. Mid bitter finish.
