Description
Gregory Hall founded Virtue Cider in 2011. He is known for his 20-year tenure as brewmaster at the Goose Island Beer Company, having won 14 consecutive Great American Beer Festival medals and pioneered bourbon barrel-aged beer with Bourbon County Stout. In the spring of 2011, Hall left Goose Island and embarked on a two-month pilgrimage to study the craft of cider, touring and tasting at top cidermakers in England and France. He brought his extensive experience and innovative style to launch Virtue Cider. In 2013, Hall brought the cidermaking venture as close as possible to one of the United States' best apple-growing states of Michigan and launched Virtue Cider in Fennville, Michigan.

From 2015 to 2023 Virtue was owned by ABInBev. Greg Hall bought the Cidery back in 2023.

From tap. Pours clear and pale yellow with a small white hed. Aroma is crisp apples, zesty. Smooth fruity, crisp apples. Crisp fruity, dry and zesty.

Tap at CBC2016, Copenhagen. Colour is clear light yellow with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, apples and sweetness. Clear but pretty basic.

Bottle@yesprs - Fuzzy golden yellow pour with tiny bubbly white head. Aroma and taste is prominent Apple, with some appleskin, fruity and dry, dry fruity finish, ok.

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Slightly hazy, Golden colour with a bubbly, White head. Tart, fruity aroma with apples, yeasts, tart notes. Taste is lightly sweet. Medium bodied. Finishes dry and fruity. Okay cider.

Bottle@yesprs - Golden yellow pour with tiny bubbly white head. Aroma and taste is one of prominent Apple, with some zesty Apple, appleskin, medium to light acidity, not bad but lacking somewhat compared to the last Somerset cider.
