(Keg at Juova, 20251221) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had burnt malts, cocoa powder, vanilla and cinnamon. Palate was medium bodied, lightly warming and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa powder, ash, light sweetness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, cocoa powder and bitterness. A surprisingly good burnt brew with many adjuncts. ABV was rather well hidden.

Dunkel malziger, deutlich rauchiger Beginn, leider kaum süß, so dass die Rauchigkeit hinter Ihren Möglichkeiten zurückbleibt. Trocken, süffig, kurzer Abgang. 9/8/7/7/7/7

Tap at Valhalla, thx Vojta! Murky orange-golden body, off-white head. Cedevita orange, lychee, bit herbal, oxidized. Lean, dry citric taste, smooth, bit minerally, wheaty, but overall fine!

Can, at Valhalla, thx Gurthnar for sharing! Pitch black head, very little head. Bit caramelly aroma, soft cocoa, bit minty, touch of alcohol. Soft, caramelly taste, vanilla, coffee, syrupy, bit of vanilla, slightly grainy, bit of alcohol, minty, pleasant, doesn't feel like a double mashed impy with that strength, but it works!

Med-full-full body, light carbo. Med-high sweet and bitter, good balance. Mix of med-high chocolate, dark sugar, dark fruit, dried, plum, light toffee, biscuits. Light coffee. Intense, rich, yet elegant. Delicious. Rewarding sipper.

On tap at Valhalla Beer Club, pours a cloudy dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma has bready malt, some caramel, moderate oxidation, and toasted chestnuts. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt, toasted caramel, plenty of oxidation, and some brow sugar. Too much oxidation and not all that well-calibrated. It’s alright.
