In the autumn over forty varieties of vintage cider apples such as Dabinett, Kingston Black, Stoke Red, Yarlington Mill and Harry Masters are harvested.
By the spring our pure juice traditional cider is ready to drink. To the best of our knowledge Burrow Hill Cider is the only cider to have won the annual national cider championships in Devon, Somerset and Hereford in the same year. As well as traditional farmhouse cider we make bottle-fermented ciders, a perry and an ice cider.

6%. Clear golden, no head. Massive barnyard funk. Apples, sweet ripe and brown ground pickings, light wood, hay and horsepoop. Aromas remind me of demi-sec Breton cider. Sweet, funky, light tart & bitter. Light body and soft carb. Positively surprised!

Bottle bought at the cider stall in Southbank Market. Boozy aroma with sweet apple and spice. Barley Wine-esque. Ruby tinged brown. A few bubbles on top. Rich and fruity, very sweet. Syrupy. A hint of booze on the periphery. Thick bodied. Oily. Flat carbonation. Ling slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable supper. Smells like Barley Wine, tastes like Gluhwein.
