In the autumn over forty varieties of vintage cider apples such as Dabinett, Kingston Black, Stoke Red, Yarlington Mill and Harry Masters are harvested.
By the spring our pure juice traditional cider is ready to drink. To the best of our knowledge Burrow Hill Cider is the only cider to have won the annual national cider championships in Devon, Somerset and Hereford in the same year. As well as traditional farmhouse cider we make bottle-fermented ciders, a perry and an ice cider.

Bottle from Ciderwinkel. At 11.5% abv. Big sweet apple aroma with lots of syrupy apple, nutty with a touch of almond, caramel, tart apple notes as well. Rich and sweet with a mild tartness. Modest booziness on the periphery, body is full. My first Ice Cider and it's quite a lovely experience.

Bottle from Scrattings. Pours a clear gold, some bubbles. This one has a certain yeasty funk note giving it some better character than the other 2 Burrow Hill ciders I have tried. Some wood, apple pith and skins, dry finish, quite tasty.

May 2013: Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2013. Very pale and clear yellowish colour, very moderately sparkling (the bottle may have been open a while). Very pleasant aroma of perry pears and sweeter eating pears. Medium dry pear flavour, does not feel as strong as 6.3%. Decent and easy drinking.
