Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of eggshell white foamy head that dissipated at a mild pace. Some stringy lace.
The aroma had some char/ash, rugged coffee grounds, burnt toast, dried earthy hops and lets in a nice expected smokiness.
The flavor lead with the smoke and brought in touches of sweetness melding with the coffee grounds somewhat. Aftertaste is \"char-like\" with some hints of dark chocolate and earthiness. Not much finish, but was somewhat dry.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Sly smoky smoothness strolled along my tongue. Carbonation felt nice. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty nice smoked porter worthy of more pours, but not at the same level as Alaskan’s.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a semi-clear brown color with a thin light tan foamy head that barely lasted. Sliding lace, what was there.
The aroma had some dark roasted malts with some light nuts, and some butterscotch.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side but had some eventual roastiness sliding in underneath. Sly aftertaste of the nuts. Sly sweet semi-sticky finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation and the ABV felt fine.
Overall, it’s a decent brown ale that maybe again.

Only Jamesport beer I’ve ever had.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a slight hazy orange to slight burnt brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. Light lacing was there.
The smell had a light grainy apricot to wheat breadiness going on.
The taste was exactly the same.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body. There’s a light sessionability about this one.
Overall, good beer worthy of having again.
