Tap at Beim Gloser. Hazy deep amber body, thick tan head. Floral, yeasty aroma, bit herbal, lightly soapy. The taste is then somewhat soapy again, floral and yeasty, smooth, but with bitterness building up and clashing with the body. Felt out of sync this time sadly, not in the best shape. Shame, had very high expectations - I'll be glad to try it again next time when I'm there, if possible and rerate it, but it just didn't sit with me well this time.

500 ml tap. Unclear amber golden with a foamy head. Grapefruit zest, lemon zest, basement notes, bread, grain, malt. Dry bitterness, minimal sour. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry crisp bitter finish. A rather crisp Zoigl, pretty nice, rather Keller-Pils like.

Der Zoigl vom Posterer, vom Faß in der Zoiglstube zum Wagerer, Parkstein. - Orangegold, trüb. - In der Nase Hefe, Karamel und ein Hauch von Kuhstall. - Antrunk brausig dünn karamelmalzig mit schüchterner orangenfruchtiger Hopfenherbe. Zu stark rezent. Ruppig krautig-herber Abgang. - Enttäuschend dünner Zoigl. (26.8.2019.)

Tap in the very old fashioned Zoiglstube. Deep golden color, slightly hazy. Full bodied, malty. Firm flowery hopbitter flavor with chewing gum, wood and orange. Somehwat lacking in aroma, mut more than makes up for it in the warm, hopbitter flavor. Hint of cinnamon in the aftertaste. Best Zoigl I’ve had.
