16 ounce can. Hazy amber orange pour. Small creamy beige head measures approximately 5/32”. Earthy toasted malt nose hints at sweet tea that has been sitting in the sun too long. Flavor echoes toasted malt, raw cashews, anodized mung beans, caramel chews, Northern California sun-dried blood orange peel, Demerara sugar, Spanish bread and treacle candy. Slightly sticky mouthfeel. Toffeeish finish. 😉

Can: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus notes with light piney notes and some light residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of piney and citrusy hops notes with light residual sugar notes and light butterscotch notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation. I was expecting a standard American IPA with loads of citrus which is what I got but light butterscotch notes were nagging.

Hazy deep golden and lightly coppered coloured body with a rich, thick, four centimetre tall soapy pure white head. Aroma of grass, light fruits, deep dank hops with a herbal character and a steady stream of both malts and alcohol. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong grassy and very herbal flavours throughout with an ultra dry finish showing some light tropical fruits and pure grapefruit notes and ending with a good malt backbone and some yeastie portions. Aftertaste shows the grass, a lot of dry grain with a supportive body and ending with a herbal and grapefruit bitterness that emanate from the hops, but are supported by all the malt that make this a nice balanced beer at the end. Overall, a very nice IPA that blends the line between 'Hazy' and 'Brut' in terms of taste (it looks purely hazy) with a very dry profile, but complex and deep, all with a good malt profile as well. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-September-2018 for US$3,49 sampled at home in Washington on 28-April-2019.
