Can from Barleywine Dave. Rare Vos glass @home. Dark cola pour, cascading coffee head. Smell is sugary black coffee, licorice, sharp wood note, dark berries, whiskey. Sweet smooth coffee, no cream. Intense burnt blackberry & burnt caramel, chary pizza crust, whiskey even though there's no whiskey. Thinner than expected, bit of ash, crazy boozy, low carb but there's some there. Good.

Pint can pours with an opaque slightly glowing dull gold to white paper colored body that supports a modest white head of foam. The aroma offers up tangelo, peach, a dash of tangerine and then a sliver of berry like notes. The taste delivers both smooth soft and juicy as well as tangy and bitter citrusy and tropical hoppy goodness. I get tangelo, peach, bitter grapefruit and then a bit of guava. Behind the hoppy assault are smooth notes of the base maltiness that provides a pleasing body to the experience. Solid offering.

Beer pours with a crystal clear pure gold body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth spicy hoppiness with a pleasing cloud of biscuit like malts in the background. The taste delivers pleasing spicy hoppy bitterness that's making me plenty happy. Behind the tower of hops are smooth notes of biscuit like malts that brings up only mild sweetness in an attempt to counter the firm hoppiness. This is drinking great. Pint can pours with a deep dark chocolate colored body that supports a thin mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up loads of dark fruity esters with plum and fig and pear and then moving into a thin cloud of chocolate. The taste delivers the same sweet dark fruity esters as this is an ester forward stout. Oh my. Restrained yet forward. I get the same array of sweet plum, fig and pear but then firm chocolate notes hit heading to midway. To midway and into the finish a dash of caramel is noticed as slick smooth sweet malt bubble to the surface. Toward the finish the malts and chocolate team up with a moderate booziness to take this into the finish. I dig a estery big ballsy stout like this. No pancakes or phantasm needed here. Great sipper.

Can. Pours a hazy yellow with small white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit and floral. Slick body, grass, grapefruit, melon, papaya, bitter finish, very good.

16 oz can. Aroma is bold strawberry, bread, and vanilla. Flavor is a exactly copy of the flavor. The mouthfeel is ok. But could have done without the lactose trash. Just ok.

Undated can, drunk 11/11/22, thanks, Airforcehops! Moderately cloudy, strawberry-blonde, yellow head to ring. Strawberry-lactose with a big emphasis on the lactose. It's a nice, real strawberry character and the vanilla is lovely, as well, but the lactic and lactose character just don't do it for me, and the beer is quite thin, as well. A fine sipper, not sweet, but man do I hate lactose in these things. Add some malt and minus the lactose and this would be excellent.

Thanks Chris strawberry shortcake for sure. Not to tart or sour. Nice palate cleanser.

Pint can pours with a nice deep dark to black colored body that supports virtually no head at all. The aroma offers up malts, molasses drizzled dark bread, chocolate and smooth smelling sweet coffee roastiness and nuttiness. The flavor delivers pleasing levels of malts, dark roasted malts, a sliver of burnt malts and silky deep dark chocolate yum. To midway it picks up modestly dark roasted malts in league with a nice soft sweet nutty sensation. Toward the finish this beer's massive ABV starts to provide a mild boozy burn that helps create more balance to this deep rich smooth sipper. Great stuff.
