Cloudy orange pour that is inviting enough. The aroma is of hops and grain, though a bit muddled. Pleasant enough balance between bittering hops and sweet malts, but this flavor is not one to make your taste buds stand up and pay attention. There was a slight tendency toward a syrupy mouthfeel. Overall, nice drinking beer, slightly above average.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is of floral hops. Flavor is kind of weak. You get your hops and malts but nothing really outstanding. Very easy to drink but not even close to SNPA.

Pour is a deep red with a white head. Aroma is chocolate malts with a nice hop tingle. Flavor is dark and malty at first then you get some oily hops at the end of the tounge. Deffinatly no fruit of spice in this brew. Taste and smells like a few Rogue beers i have had in the past. Tasty and decent.

Thanks to Willblake for this one. Dark pour with a nice tan head that recedes a bit quickly. Nice aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. The flavor is bit light, following the aroma, with a light body. With a bit more intensity of flavor, and a bit more body, this would be outstanding.

Dark brown colour, ruby highlights when held up to a light. Thick billowy tan head atop which lasts for a long while. Oatmeal, malty and musty aroma. Watery mouthful (light-bodied) with very strong malty characteristics. Fairly short aftertaste filled with roasted malt and oatmeal. Overall, a decent porter with a different taste than most others. This 12 ounce bottle was brewed on 25-April-2003. I bought this 12 ounce bottle from Total Beverage in Thornton (Denver), Colorado.

Amber colour with a creamy slightly tan head. A bit of hops in the smell, but oddly enough, more malt dominates. The taste is of english hops with a bit of malt to decorate. Almost no palate...a bit of hop drying, but not much. Overall a sub-par english pale. Glad to have the experience to try it, but sorry that it wasn't stellar! Brewed on 24-March-2003. I bought this 12 ounce bottle from Total Beverage in Thornton (Denver), Colorado.

Acquired via trade. I like getting my hands on 90 Shilling beers, as I am a fan of the style. I didn't think this one was quite as good as Hoster's version but it was decent. Pours a dark amber color with a medium beige head and thin lacing. Earthy malt aroma. Body is fairly rich, with flavors of malt, caramel and a little fruit. Finish is lightly bitter. Overall pretty good.

Acquired via trade. Pours a light mahogany color with a ruby-red halo. Thick foamy tan head that lasted pretty well, and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is sweet, mostly malt with some chocolate and cocoa lingering. I felt everything was a little on the thin side though. Mild hops in the finish, but overall the beer was a little too soft.

Acquired via trade. Pours a dark orange-amber color with a medium and quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and bread. Flavor is mostly hops with a definite malt presence, along with some toasted notes. Finish is good and rich. Good representation of the style.
