12 oz bottle from Cheyenne, WY; Nose of taosted nuts, caramel, and some peat; rusty-copper with a medium beige head; flavor of peaty malt, a bit of hop bitterness, and some woody oakiness. My fourth Scottish Ale , but not a real great one!

12 oz bottle; nose of caramel, a little grassy hops, and not much else; amber with a medium beige head; flavor of caramel, some light hop bitterness, and somelight fruity sweetness. Ok, but not Odells best effort.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 22 Sep 2007) Pale amber colour with brief white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange, apricots and grapefruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange peel, mandarin, grapefruit and harsh notes of citrussy hops in the finish. Balanced sweetness. Very nice hop character and not overly aggressive. Great balance.

Pale yellow color, small creamy white head. Grassy, a bit papery nose. Sweet liquerish palate, very grassy and hayish flavor. Imperial pilsner? A bit too simple = lots of sweetness and Sazz hops, not enough to impress.

Bottled@SBWF2007. Deep golden colour, not much head. Aroma is pilsish, buttery and some alcohol. Flavour is alcohol, fruityness, hoppyness and quite pleasant. Wellbalanced and also has some slight salty notes.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy golden, small head. Grassy hbuttery nose. Sweet with chewy malt. Sugar tries to hide the alcohol, but doesn’t do a very good job, letting some vegetables comes through as well. Salty finish. Why call a bold, sweet lager pilsner?

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy golden, airy head. Massive aroma of of sweaty lychees. The malt sweetness is dried out by massive amounts of hops. Chewy malt fight an uphill battle against the onslaught of aromatic, juicy piney hops. Really bitter finish. Seemless and fresh, very American in style.
