courtesy of Eric owner of Trappeze, Athens GA. Pours clear amber with white head. Aroma is hoppy, with good citrus like aromas. Taste, light fruit for a mix between bitter and sweet, between apricot and some bitter citrus. Finish of light bitter hops. Decent, but not spectacular.

5point liquor in Athens, GA. Pours brown with beige tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, yeast. Taste, dark fruits, light caramel malts. Thick palate, with many of the Belgian Ale characteristics. Good warming notes of the alcohol.

This beer come in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy red-brown color with a medium sized tan head that lingered forever and produced great lacing. The aroma was malty with notes of cocoa and light vague fruits. The flavor was bitter, tangy, roasty and lightly fruity with a touch of chocolate and a light vegetal undertone. Decent.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was sour, bitter, fruity and piney with a touch of resin. The flavor was sweetish, tangy and bitter with notes of pine and resin. The beer turned dry on the finish that was long with piney hops. Decent.

Draught at Bayerischer Donisl, Munich.
Light hazy yellow coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, pleasant estery fruity nose. The taste is huge letdown, light yeasty, weak fruity and sourish wheaty with not so pleasant tart finish.

Scored this in a trade with daknole. Many thanks! 12oz bottle (2007 vintage I believe) pours a opaque, medium bodied black with brown edges and a creamy, lacing white head. Aroma is nice, chocolate, coffee grounds, sweet malts and a bit of tree bark. Flavor is let down after a nice inviting nose with some chocolate, a little bit of watery coffee, some dark grains and definitely some sugars from the oatmeal. Finish is watery and bland. Looks good, smells good but never delivers beyond that.

Bottle from TheBeerCellar. Thanks! Pours medium brown with almost no head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, honey. Almost smells like a granola bar. Bittersweet taste of oats and a hard to peg down fruitiness. Medium body and smooth feel. Very nice beer.

Bottle from TheBeerCellar. Thanks, Matt! Pours a hazy peach color w/ medium head and good retention and lacing. Aroma is bitter, earthy and almost salty. Bitter, lemony taste. Drinkable, but not all that pleasant. Looks pretty, though! Guess it could be called the dumb blonde of beers... looks nice, no substance.

Brown and lots of carbonation. Mild malt aroma, but like the weizen, this seems infected. Some malt. They definitely have bottling or some other quality control issue.
