Poured up on tap at Euclid Hall where it exhibits a crystal clear gold body thin bright white head. The aroma offers up sweetness, bready almost doughy maltiness a bit of corn. The taste is similar with doughy malts, a bit of lemon tartness, sweet corn and sweet maltiness. Overall this is decent albeit too sweet and heavy for a Kolsch. Sorry.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VI on 10/03/2014. Brownish-black pour with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Strings of lacing. Aroma of bourbon, dark chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, chocolate malt and roasted coffee. The finish is oaky with a dark chocolate and bourbon aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

Sample at SBWF 2014. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma and taste of grass, apples, fruit and some light spices. A bit sour with a low bitterness. Drinkable but nothing special.

Keg at SBWF. Almost clear mahogany colour, minimal head. Vinous and caramelly. Sweet with full body. Saccharine marzipan. Dough, sweetener, yeast. Mildly warming finish.
