5.5% I picked this up at a supermarket in honor of my upcoming trip to Bergen. Alas, it seems to be a kind happoshu brewed in Korea.... Typical fizzy yellow pour with lots of foam but it leaves behind no lacing. The aroma is sugary malt water... Yuck, sweet fizzy water. The carbonation was kind of rough & unpleasant. This is just for people looking to save a buck when they get drunk. Papery cardboard flavor, seriously not worth the 100 yen it costs. Buy it only if you are broke... Beers in Bergen will easily surpass this horrible brew.

Bottle from Oto Market in Sacramento, CA. Pours light gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is bready with the barest hint of noble hop. Med body. Flavor is virtually non-existent - light bread and a suggestion of herb/earth hop with it being more bitter/dry than malty. But that’s not saying a lot. I’m done.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Bruce for this country tick. Almost clear gold beer, little white head. Light and very dry palate. Minerals. Dry and very papery malt. More paper. Dry finish. Bleh!

Can, many thanks to Bruce..... It pours pale yellow with a small white head. The nose is dull sweetness, cereal, dough and paper. The taste is dough, grass, flour, hint of lemon and cereal with a dryish finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Not much to it. Probably not as bad as expected.

Can at Bruce’s on the opening evening of Jack’s Farewell Tour in London - massive thanks to Bruce. Pours perfectly clear yellow with a lasting, frothy white head. Light dry cereal on the nose, some hay. Light sweet flavor, delicate dough, hay, cereal, crispy white bread. Light bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Light sweetness to finish, mellow bitter straw, dry dough. A restrained pale lager - rare indeed. Good work, South Korea.

On tap at Hollywood in Itaewon next door to Reilley’s Taphouse (they also have an ok tap selection). It poured more copper than gold but still had lots of hay in the aroma/flavor due to the probable use of adjuncts but had some caramel.

On tap at 7 Bar. It pours a gold color with no head & a mild grassy aroma. The flavor was hay, grass with a mild bitter finish. Boring but ok cold.
