bottle, donated by Bierkoning - Thanks a lot! Hazy brownish golden colour, mid-sized head. Robust malty base with a grainy caharcter, reminding me of German Vollkornbread (wholemeal bread) with shy hints of forest berries and a nice hoppy finish that adds a touch of fruity hops.

drunk 4 months BEFORE exp. date. Pours an orange beer, little cloudy. Fine white creamy head, with beige yeast spots. A lot of flakes (yeast? proteines?) in the beer, while it was still very young (< 1 y.o.). Smells refreshingly sour and a bit like yeast. Taste is slightly acidic. An unpleasant watery mouthfeeling. Slightly bitter aftertaste with hints of mildew and rotting wood. Not very pleasant.

Bottle (6.0%): Deep golden, hazy, mid-sized off-white head with a little lace; sweetish-fruity nose with a delicate tinge of hops; sweetish flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; mild caramelly-yeasty finish with an even lighter hoppy tail. Not too impressive.....
