330 ml bottle, bought in Cardiff. ABV is 4.5%. Hops are East Kent Goldings. Black colour, minimal beige head. Lactic aroma, also notes of mild coffee and chocolate. The flavour is not very sweet, just a little lactose. Medium roasty coffee notes, hints of liquorice and wood. Moderate EKG hops in the finish.

Gravity cask at Taproom - London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a slight white cream. The nose holds detergent and grains, with perhaps and accent of orange rind. Light sweet flavor, a little meaty and smokey, with touches of metal, grain. Light bodied and soft; no condition. Lightly astringent on the finish, with notes of soap, detergent and grain. If this was ever an acceptable beer it has long since been destroyed.

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. Pale chestnut with a ring of off-white head; woody aroma; rich bitter chocolate malt taste, with a earthy body and a woody bitterness, then some warming spices; leaving some chewy malts to finish. Rather good.

330ml bottle from Borough Wines, Stoke Newington. Pours clear copper with fast receding bubbly head. Sweet caramel aroma. Taste is an initial tropical fruit hit, merging more towards a malty caramel character. Not too into this.

Bottle picked up from the a wine shop/off-licence in Henley on Thames, Oxon, consumed at Isobels, Eardisley, Herefordshire, Friday 25th July 2014 Pours light amber with bubbly large white head. Sweet is my first thought, soft in mouth a little caramel, its a little hoppy but this is blunted by the sweetness. Quite bland. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.8

Bottle at home in London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma holds grainy bread, some earthy minerals, pine, crackers, orange. Light to medium sweet flavor with lots of crackery malts, minerals, toasty hay, grains, orange rind. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with moderate sweetness, further minerals, grain husk, nips of smoke, sun-kissed hay, dry bread, understated citrus, rind. Not bad.
