ADTWD team tasting in sunny Halzlemere. Clear deep amber brown beer, small and short lived pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous, decent fine carbonation. Smooth rich malts, a little cream, modest toffee on this one. Rich and slightly boozy bourbon. Cognac comes through on the back end and seems to smooth the whole affair out. Finishes smooth and with just hint of oak induced vanilla and a little brown sugar. So rich and so very drinkable.

ADTWD team tasting in sunny Halzlemere. Near clear deep amber brown beer, small tan head lasts no time at all. A pretty light palate all told, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Rich toffee malts, rich but light bodied, a little malt cream. Whisper of oak induced vanilla. The barrelling brings rich but bright bourbon. Airy finish leaves a fair dose of alcohol spice but really not much heat. A grown ups barleywine.
