bottle saved for a few years in cellar. Lovely - always so good at what they do, especially on imperial stouts.

Tavour bottle: pours fizzy yellow with a white head. Aroma is bretty earthy funk, light passion fruits, some touches of citrusy fruitiness. Taste is bitterly bretty. The passionfruit hits at the finish and is really pleasant. Funky overall. Pleasant.

Bottle. Pours hazy straw medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is dominated by stonefruit, peach, hint of sharp funk, basement, wispy acetone. Flavor is light tart, medium funk, nice stonefruit. A bit of sharpness that fades as the beer breathes.

2024 version, can.
clear brown settles very dark brown, small film brown head.
strong complex boozy aroma, hard for me to specificallly identify the booze, roasted malts. brown sugar.
flavor is quite boozy with an alc. bitterness and stingyness. syrupy brown sugary notes. dark caramel. warming sensation. comes off as a little bit brutal. Not sure anything alcoholic at 18% can feel more brutal than thise one, the velvety gloves are off, or the velvet is very very thin. can go as a sipper, as a lot of stuff is going on.

The can design is hilarious with black wax on the bottom.

Tall boy can acquired from Half Time, my main IPA provider. An Alaskan IPA? Why not, my first I believe. A tulip glass from a good Fort Worth brewery, time to have the pour. A hazy body as expected, yellow-orange in color completed by a sizeable foamy head of snow white foam. Fine lacing as it turns out. I smell orange juice, other citrus and something tropical. The taste still figures largely with oranges, also crackers, guava, bit-o-honey and a touch of hops. A nice full sensation. Really a decent imperial hazy IPA, a style that does not top my list. But you do what you do.

In honor of tonight’s Cold Supermoon, this sip goes out to all the howling wolves. You know who you are… 🐺🌕🍺

16 ounce can from Tavour. Hazy orange gold pour. Frothy white head . Aromas of sweet citrus and stone fruit. Flavor mirrors nose. Sweet tangerine, apricot, mango and red grapefruit. Juicy and refreshing. Some stickiness. A bit pithy on the backend.
