Taster at Orange & Brew, after that big ole Maplewood Stufff. Despite being bigger on alcohol, the nose on this is much milder. Ah, now we're picking up that thread of Bourbon barrel. Despite the taster put, there's still some leggy foam at the edge. A more stable impy milk stout, mellowed by lactose. Barrel still gives it a bit of chocolate cookie note. Great as a power for an unadorned standard of this style.

Brewery draught, 11/30/23. Dark. Tan head sits at light cover. Rich almond nuttiness, caramel and light vanilla with gentle but well-done Bourbon. Light on the coconut, quite malty, no booze noted. Rich almond and moderate coconut. Malty, sweet, lightly spicy bourbon balancing. Good acidity and pepper lingering. Tons of chocolate character bolstered by the cacao. Maybe a bit too much adjunct here. A touch overwhelming. No alcohol noted.

Brewery draught, 11/30/23. Undetermined clarity. Dark. Light tan head quickly to edges. Rich bourbon, nothing harsh, with lots of sweet milk chocolate and a pinch of caramel. Getting peppermint, which is odd. Yeah more peppermint in the flavor too. Is this a base peppermint stout? Whatever the case, it's rich, gently, pleasantly syrupy and has an excellent dose of mellow but rich bourbon to balance the maltiness. Clean and no alcohol at all, somehow.

Brewery draught, 11/30/23. Clear brass-golden. Medium-sized, well-retained, white head. Clean, very floral, lightly fruity apple notes and lots of cracker. Nicely malty, zesty hops, great attenuation drying on the crisp, gently bitter finish. Incredibly refreshing. Love how malty it is. Honey, biscuit, sourdough, all sorts of excellent malt notes. Floral and herbal bitterness with zero citrus character.

Draught. Faintly cloudy reddish copper with very small frothy beige head, faint caramel aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter caramel taste, thin body, long finish. Felt a bit thin.

From Brewvana. Cool can art but no dating that I can find.
It pours a straw gold with a very healthy head of foam. Lacing is good.
Smells of dry hopped pine, some citrus, some dankness going on. 4 hop varieties were used. Smells like it. Malt wise? I'm having trouble pulling any out. Maybe in the taste.
The taste is, umm, dry hopped pine, bit of dankness, cracker malt, perhaps. Quite a dry finish though it is fairly short lived.
Body is excellent...smooth and satisfying.
Overall, an interesting beer that I'm glad I tried but I wouldn't seek it out.
