Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Brownish orange and clear with a tight beige head. Notes of tangerine, floral character in the aroma. Nice. Tastes sweet with a tinge of bitterness. It's lovely once the off-putting initial vegetal note notes out of the way. Decent, but not impossible, bitterness in the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Some issues but overall good.

Can from Beer52. Good APA, slightly on the malty side but offset by nice hopping. Look: Misted gold with small white head; fairly standard. Nose: Slightly more malty than average APA but good citrus, stone fruits, pine and herbal hop notes coming through. Taste: soft biscuit, citrus peel, flora, moderate pine resin, fruity and bitter finish; solid. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, oily, semi-drying, lively but fine carbonation. Works well.

Can from Beer52. Lightly misted gold with moderate sized white foam, good retention. Aroma of white bread, citrus zest, grains; reasonable freshness. This flows through to the flavour - decent malt base, orange zest and stone fruits, then a floral bitter bite in the finish. When they called it a Spanish Lager I was expecting a slightly hoppier San Miguel type beer but instead the brewer has stuck some Spanish orange zest in the mix. However, Its not overdone and the hop presence is still decent. I like it. Only my 10th rate from Leicestershire so far (Jun-23)

Can from Honest Brew, online. Pours a dark brown with small beige head, good retention. Aroma of smoked bacon and roasted malts. Cant pick up any subtle notes due to smokiness. Taste is smoke (more woody than bacon in note thankfully), roasted malts, light berry tang, pine, some rye, dry bitter finish. Not picking up much chocolate notes which I think would have improved this beer. Its quite nice, smoky but not overdone like some.
