Sample at the 2014 Infected Chimipalooza on 11/01/2014. Hazy orange-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lacing. Brett, oak and fruit in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of brett yeast, oak and earthy malt. The finish is moderately sour with a citrusy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap at Sidedoor. Unfiltered caramel amber color. Thin, patchy head,l ots of carbonation bubbles rising to meet it. Sweet, sugary caramel wheat. Has the DME bland hollow sugar feel. There is the doughy, bread pudding taste, caramel. Boozy, not likely a beer they’d pull off without the DME. Not bad, but not good either.

Tap at Sidedoor. Hazy thickish unfiltered yellow-tan body. Foamy white head, steady and thick. Interesting pleasant aroma of noble hops and brett. Dry brett notes, lemon lime. Light to medium bodied., not much depth. A pretty watery pils base (memory lane?) dominated by bretty. OK. Hollow.

Tap at Oso. Pitch black body. Foamy beige head. Big sweet brown coffee aroma. A pretty solid coffee porter. Quite sweet, thick, sugary. Roast, coffee, chocolate. Big coffee flavors for sure, but kind of a one-dimensional backdrop. OK.

Tap at Oso. Deep unfiltered burgundy brown. Thin off white head. Malty brown aroma. Sweet. Nice deep caramel malt tones. Mellow lager tones. Massive, big, but drinkable. Sugary. The booze starts to show. Cool beer.

Snifter, tap at Oso. Really nice chocolate coffee aroma. Sweet coffee chocolate vanilla flavors. Sweet, but not overbearing in the body, still has some nice oily Porter tones. The coffee is quite pronounced. Quality offering. A touch sweetish, extract. Enjoyable.

Tap at Sidedoor. Filtered stained glass orange body. Foamy, steady off white head. Funked out brett, odd intense mango, pungent island fruit. An odd creature, a little too far gone for a Pale Ale. Not much finesse, just sort of smacks you in the face with controlled infection. Unique, but seems like it would be best blended down or with something else. Not really that enjoyable. Needs to be dialed down, mellowed out. Challenging. Undesirable.

Tap at Old Fashioned. Chunky unfiltered orange-amber body. Steady off-white head. Sweet and fruity. Huge Belgian yeast tones. A little bit weird undercurrent. This one is sort of a mess, comes off very unruly and amateurish. Could pass for a Belgian Amber I suppose. Cherry and fruity yeast tones. OKish.

Bottle shared by Bob. Brett aroma with flowers; it smells great. Unfortunately the flavor is bad and this is hard to drink. Brown color.
