Description
Folklore abounds in the marketing of Skinner’s Cornish beers, which were first supped in 1997. Steve Skinner heads a successful Cornish business whose beers are seen throughout the county and nationwide too via good wholesale distribution. Countless barrels and hundreds of awards later, our brewery has grown but remains a family business rooted in the area we live and work, whether that’s doing our bit for our corner of the planet, enjoying a bit of surfing or having a go at some shanty-singing.. The brewery has a 25-barrel plant, a good beer shop and well presented visitor centre.

In early 2023 taken over by Goodh Brewing.

Cask @ Cable Station Inn as Cable Station Inn House Ale (probably an alias, but I’m not able to figure out witch – maybe Betty Stogs based on my previously rating of this?). Clear dark golden body with a small, dense off-white head. Mild, mostly ,malty aroma. Flavor is ,mild, soft, smooth malty with some kind of general fruitiness. Low bitterness and not much complexity. Decent session ale, nothing special.
Earlier Rating: 6/8/2012 Total Score: 2.6
Cask @ King William IV. Dark golden body with a small white head. Aroma is light malt and fruit, but also a hint of “sour” yeast and rubber. Flavor is soft and light malt with moderate bitterness. Flavor is better than aroma, but I’m afraid this was not in the best state. Medium body. Drinkable but is probably meant to be fresher.
