Head gone in an eyeblink; dirty reddish brown beer. Sweet-boozy, cognac, fusels, fruit as in red/orange and dried. Boozy as hell. Brandy, wood, alcohol-drenched wood, fusels again and something burnt; banana(peel), overripe strawberry. Alcoholheat/alcoholthinning, undercarbonated, very slick and oily feel. Brutal. But I'm sure many people will love this.

Pours a dark amber, no foam. Scent is alcohol, cardamom , thin, notes of banana. no clear PX . Taste is medium full, very low to zero carbonation. bit boozy. Spices, not watery in body or intensity, but due to the lack of carbonation of extreme thickness, it does remind of something 'alcoholic waterry'. PX isn't recognizable. perhaps some oak. Mild oak vaniline. Bit of bitterness in the end, that doesn't match the beer. Very rough in many directions, not a big fan of this one.

Fast gone coloured head over veiled red-brown beer, still. Phenolic, Islay Malt², tarred poles, dried fish. Bit burning, roast/toast and less phenolic than the nose suggested. Islay is still unmistakeable. Not very well-bodied, plust the alcoholthinning. Somewhat slick, low to medium carbonation. Unconventional beer from Alvinne. I find it rather thinnish, and not really complex. But the SNP is going to murder Alvinne. WhiskEy, seriously!!!

75cl shared by Meeki - many thanks! Pours hazy amber with a lasting, foamy, tan head. Aroma is expressively malty, plum cake, Belgian yeast, red apple, red berries, green tea, wet wood, brioche, liqueur. Taste has sweet plum, red apple & some banana wrapped in brioche-like maltiness; bitter herbal tea, wet wood, spices & early alcohol underneath with just a hint of 'Alvinne sour'. Dry, herbal hoppy finish, more 'ethereal' now (wet clove), more wood, rather bitter in the very end with boozy liqueur alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Slightly off-balance, not connecting all the dots in a sense; needs some polishing but otherwise certainly enjoyable.
