Sounded so excellent; gin barrel aged saison with lime? Sign me up! Pours clear golden, small off-white head, a bit of lacing. Aroma is Saison yeast, lime, hint of barrel. Flavor is weirdly sweet, light. bitter. Hot. Light gin botanicals but otherwise a tad sickly. Disappointing.

LCI. Well-cellared. Up front on the nose, the spice has faded, so comes across like a Russian Imperial stout, in the mouth it’s still got all the Mexican spice. Nice chili heat.

Good deal for the 24th, sharing it with my wife with a good apero at home after a meal in family in Bussigny. Good ipa, refreshing, dry malt, a hint of sweetness, tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, touch of grapefruit, some oat maybe, at home, Epalinges, 26.12.13

Bottle. Pours hazy hazel, small beige head, some lacing. Aroma is dark sugar, dates, lightly vinous, oak, brandy. Flanks is medium sweet, light plus bitter. Medium body. A bit hot.

Bottle. Pours inky black, small brown head, decent lacing. Aroma is heavy peanut, cocoa, bourbon. Flavor follows, quite sweet, light plus bitter. Heavy peanut. Full body, silky mouthfeel.
