Bottle shared by Jan & Charlotte when visiting Ulfborg on our holiday. Great to meet up! --500ml bottle 420/2000, bottled 1/28/21, thanks so much J&C! -- Opaque dark brown to black color, average to decent sized brown colored head. Aroma is malts, whiskey (rye whiskey I guess), light vanilla, liquorice. Flavor is malts, roasted malts, a slight note of burnt malts in the background, rye, cocoa, rye whiskey, booze, distant dark raisins. Very nice!

Bottle shared by Jan & Charlotte when visiting Ulfborg on our holiday. Great to meet up! Beautiful dark amber, red-brown color, medium sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, bourbon, caramel, raisins. Flavor is malts, caramelized sugars, sticky sugars, liquor soaked raisins, bourbon. A bit thinner bodied than I would have thought, but still very solid. Absolutely delicious. An old school barley wine. Absolutely love it. Great beer.

0.65l bottle, shared with Ema @ Patrick. Aroma of raisins, caramel, dandelion syrup, cinnamon, licorice and chocolate. Pours cloudy dark brown color with thin creamy light brown head and fair lacing. Taste starts with toasted and burnt malt and cookies, follows by cinnamon, herbs and vanilla, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic, while finish is pretty bitter. Full body, thick oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Sweet & spicy birthday dessert…

A good and fair ipa, on the way of the brewdog but in my point of view is a better one, subtle, floral and aromatic, note of pineapple, fruity, a bit resinous, generous side of bitterness, citrus, really refreshing and tasty, 25.05.22

Bottle courtesy of Freethyhops. Thanks Riley!
Served near room temperature, it pours a pitch black with a 1 finger head of dark chocolate foam. The rather good head of foam surprised me. I wonder if there's any lacing? Yes sir eee.
The smell has notes of vanilla and roasted malt, cocoa, and some spice. Could be the cinnamon mentioned on the label. Not an overly big bold nose. And just when I say that, the smell *does* intensify and is big and bold. Resmells are always a must as giving time for the beer to "breathe", perceptions can easily change.
The taste has a BIG blast of a cocoa bitterness and roasted malt, vanilla, cinnamon spice, some sweet malts, and a spicy kick about mid palate that has *got* to be from the chiles. Wow. What a kick to the flavours they are. I can taste a little bit of tartness floating around in there but not much and it isn't needed at all. Some warming starts to creep in but I can't say the alcohol is a big factor tastewise. Delicious brew.
Full bodied with lightish carbonation. Super good mouthfeel.
Drinkability? For the abv and the really thick body that this brings to the table, very good. This will easily be close to a one hour session but I ain't complaining...
