pitch dark, smooth light brown head. aroma is mild dried fruity, closed in on itself. woody, quite delicate but mild.note of cherries. flavor is bitter woody, cherries, bitter malty, smooth palate, but a little too bitter to be interesting.

Tap at Week van het Nederlands bier. Decent white head. Clear blond pour. Hoppy aftertaste. This was the single hop version. Nice beer.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy yellow to orange color, small off-white head that leaves a fair lacing. Smell malts, hops, fruits but also slightly sweaty. Taste malts, hops, grapefruit, very bitter. Also a long lasting very bitter aftertaste. I love it, but it might be too bitter for some. Bottle thx to benzai. Very hazy orange with a big white head. Smells hoppy, some grapefruit, malts.. Could use more fruityness. Tastes hoppy, malty, slightly roasty somehow.. Quite a special brew with a very pleasant long lasting aftertaste. Medium body and nice soft carbo.

75cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, at AHBS. Amber brown colour, off white head. Aroma is tart, Brett, caramel, some dark fruits, malts. Flavour is tart, caramel, light malty, dark fruits, berries, chocolate, light tart finish with a little bitterness. Medium bodied. OK.

75cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, at AHBS. Deep dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of light tart dark fruits with chocolate, roasted malts, berries, light cherries, light Bretty funk. Really nice but hard to describe. Flavour is tart/sour, hard roasted malts, liqourice, dark fruits, cherries and chocolate, sour-bitter roasted finish. Medium bodied. Rather unusual and complex beer, really liked this.

Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, light roasted and chocolate, moderate yeasty, candy, sugar. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120317]
