330ml bottle from Hoppy Craft, St Omer. Pours a misty pale blonde, good white head. Moderate carbonation. A little thin bodied, a touch lagery, some modest hop bitterness, fine overall.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of candied sugar and Belgian yeast. Flavour is much the same, with candied sugar, estery Belgian yeast, and some booze. I expected more from this—rather boozy and lacking integration. It’s alright.

Dull amber. Highly phenolic, sticky, not hitting. Sweet and phenolic, with a light alcohol character. Decent, but too phenolic.

Bottle pour. Pours murky gold with a white head. Aroma is dominated by sweet, caramel malts, golden raisons, and some gentle floral hops. Flavour is malty, lots of bourbon, some golden raisins. A bit uncoordinated.

Good but straightforward well crafted Belgian amber with strong alcohol will hidden. Leans sweet with the candy sugar effects on full display. Very drinkable.

0.33 l can from Interspar. Pale golden color with a thin head which almost immediately vanishes. Alcoholic aroma wit a long lasting sweet taste. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not good.

Bottle at home, 2017 version after 1 year of cellaring. Pours deep copper with beige head. Nose is malts, dried fruits and a boozy touch. In taste it’s like a barleywine/strong belgian ale mix: malty, fruity, boozy and there’s a yeasty Belgian character to it too. Medium to heavy body, soft carbo, true dessert beer.
