Description

Rating for Green Hopping 2012: 75 cl. bottle sampled @ Brugs Bier Festival 2013. Nice label. Paler golden appearance. Sweetish overripe fruits in the nose, yeast, that herbal green hop thing, bit like forest ground, still getting a bit used to that but it is tame here & easier for me to handle, green stuff. Taste is old lemons, light funk, green, tad stiky, feet / cat piss whatever hops, bitter, BE yeast, some herbalness, green hops. Bit flatter body – not top but for one but the diminished hop nature makes me get more into the green hopping thing. Nicer than the 2011 was it appears going back by my notes. 4 – another irrational score. /////////////// Rating for Green Hopping 2011:75 cl. bottle sampled @ Bruges Beer Festival 2012: hazy golden with a creamy head, taste is rather mellowed out & slightly sweet upfront with the smell being more “hoppy” with a touch of herbal & grassy hops, still sweet Belgian yeast, fruity, touch sweet malt, hint honey-sweetness, field-like quality with the finish going to slightly bitter mellowed out fruity floral hops, slick, easy going, touch different but it has a nice mellowness to it, bitterness in finish is easy going as well. 3.7
