Slight toast, strong C hop and old school bittering with some fruity and caramelly notes on the finish.
Resin, floral notes and pine spice. But it doesn't get excessive and the obvious medium malts seem to add mostly color as there's little/no toast or caramel here, thankfully. Fruitiness and good malt depth keep it nicely balanced. Despite it's appearance, a good modern interpretation.

Good and roasty, not too much so, but moreso than expected. Not really getting too much adjunct. Fine, whatever.
Tastes like lavender up front before succumbing to a fantastically peppery mid-palate that somehow neither builds up nor overwhelms. Rich, chewy, not-quite-syrupy texture helps a lot here. What is giving this bright, floral lavender character up front? Don't know but I love it. Char emerging, too, as it warms. Something for everyone here, without excessive roast or sweetness. More intense pepper than heat, aptly so.

Low roast and dark chocolate mixing with a good amount of tart cherry, lacto and vanilla-like notes. Don't think any acetic and no alcohol noted. Round and balanced.
Malt to start with a good kick of lacto to sour things. There is a pinch of acetic, giving a Flemish flare but it doesn't get vinegary. Excellent malt and wood structure sosks up the acidity. Cherry only coming out as light skin and slight pulp character. Chewy, chocolatey, not too sweet or acidic. Dark sours are one of the more challenging styles to navigate and this has been done well.

Nice oak character backing a good deal of lacto character. Fruits show a good mix of tartness and sweetness. Don't get any acetic character.
Buttery oak with a touch of refermentation-derived diacetyl. But not the disgusting, undrinkable kind. Mixes in with the oak. Juicy and tart with a deft balance of sweet malt and fruit and low acidity. No cringe or vinegar here. Once the yeast cleans up the diacetyl, which it will, this will be excellent.

Can (10/27/25) from Lighthouse Wine & Spirits, Beverly. Opaque black, thin head with fair retention, light lacing. Aroma is tons of molasses, earthy roast, minimal dark fruit. Taste follows aroma but less fruit. Smooth, frothy, moderately thick texture, full bodied, average carbonation and finish as taste. Rich molasses aroma and flavor with earthy roast avoids over sweetness often in imperial stouts.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: amber hazed color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which slid off at a nice pace; light lace clung to the glass.
Aroma: some stone fruit, freshly cut grass, light citrus and clean malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together slightly in a semi-bittersweet sort of way; mild finish of citrus and peaches but somewhat like marmalade
Texture: medium bodied, between sessionable and being a sipper; low carb, once again mobile on the tongue (not watery but not slick or gritty)
Overall: not a bad NEIPA, I'd probably go for this before some of their other offerings I've had.

Appearance: murky/hazy burnt orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy to floral hop tones with a light tangerine; clean malts in the background
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to more of the sweet side with a lighter hint of bitterness; finishes citrusy and floral
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; fairly mobile to the tongue (maybe a step up from being watery)
Overall: not exactly the NEIPA that I may have been looking for, but also not the bottom of the barrel.

Aroma: dried mango hoppiness, some white grapes and a clean malty base
Flavor: blends the previously noted aromas together somewhat sweetly with a clean finish of the dried mangoes and white grapes
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness along the tongue but also some hop stabbing (getting to be astringent-ish)
Overall: it's not a bad take on a NEIPA; however, I'm unsure how quick I would be to return to this.

Aroma: floral, semi-grassy and slightly earthy hop tones with dried citrusy hop tones just a touch underneath then a clean malt base
Flavor: prior noted aromas blend to a soft sweet character, some bitterness shyly stays in the background; finishes slightly floral with the malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, some bitterness seems to make my tongue buckle but not fully astringent; sessionable? - well, I believe that's what it's trying to be
Overall: seemingly enough, somewhat an odd pilsener, would I have this again? Well, maybe if handed a can, there's a chance I might.
