Can 33.cl from Boerenjongens deli Amsterdam @home poured into a shaker. Hale pale golden colour, good moussy white head, good retention, fair lacing. Aroma guave, lemon, soursop, light pale malt. Taste medium sweet and sour, guave, lemon peel, soursop, unripe goose berries, some pine. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation, fruity mild sweet and sour taste, mild tart, well-balanced, very refreshing, very nice indeed.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before September 2025. Very hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity, gently yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, lots of pear, honeydew and some citrus. Quite sweet, malty, hardly bitter, quite fruity-floral and a bit yeasty-spicy taste of banana, pear, honeydew, some citrus and maybe traces of clove, followed by a short, hardly bitter finish. Full body, very smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not as yeasty, but much fruitier as expected. Nice beer, although I prefer the more classic approaches on this style.

0.75 l bottle from 'Slijterij Berendsen', 8.0% abv, bottled in September 2022. Slightly hazy, ruby with a medium large, dense, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a bit yeasty aroma of caramel, raisins, strawberry jam and plum. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and quite yeasty-spicy taste of caramel, raisins, prunes, strawberry jam, marzipan, some overripe banana and hints of chocolate, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Christmas ale, quite nuanced, complex and fairly saturating, actually very festive. Way better than expected, highly resembles the classic Belgian Christmas ales, nice surprise.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before February 2025. Clear, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity, gently resiny aroma of mango, orange jam, grapefruit and some pine. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, rather fruity and a bit resiny taste of orange jam, mango, grapefruit and light pine, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent beer, nice flavours. Quite sweet though, rather tame for a West Coast IPA.

It"s other Koekoek indeed. My bottle claims 6% as well as 30 IBU... Small, just off-white head over well-carboanted darker golden beer. Greenery, herbs, bit gassy, watercolourpaint, yeastfeatures, spices. Bit peppery, spicy - boosted by the very present carbonation. Main taste has some sweeter maltsweet, but the finish is dry bitter(ish), with again the stamp of the CO². Light body if quite slick. Almost overcarbonated. Acceptable, even as a Saison.
