0.33 l can from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', best before November 2025. Final chapter of another nice series from the birds. Pitch black with a large, frothy, stable, light brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of dark chocolate, roasted hazelnut, coffee, maple and some vanilla. Fairly sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, maple, vanilla, roasted hazelnut, some Jopen candy and light coconut, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter finish. Full body, very smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely RIS with pleasant maple flavours, definitely prefer it to the base beer alone.

0.33 l bottle from 'Mr. Hop', best before November 2025. Pitch black with a large, foamy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of chocolate, hazelnut, coffee and hints of blueberry. Rather sweet, malty, quite roasty and a little fruity taste of cocoa, hazelnut, coffee, some blueberry and trademark Jopen 'candy', followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, minimally resiny finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice smooth RIS, rather hoppy.
