Copper-amber colour. Medium head. Slightly fruity aroma. On the palate, some woody hop notes, decent bitterness. And butterscotch. Like actual butterscotch, not caramel or diacetyl. Though I am worried about when it warms up a bit more. The body has some creaminess to it, before the hop bitterness rolls through the finish. I appreciate they set out to make a very deliberately English beer.

First of two Quebec Maple beers tonight (the other being Brouemont). A slight hazed, amber colour with a light beige head, decent stay for the style, but lacing is limited. Maple syrup aromas over fruity amber malts, with a touch of burnt wood. Maple flavours with hops that cut the sweetness. Not syrupy at all in the mouthfeel and a good dryness in the end, but not overly. I have tried a few maple beer recently, but this is the one that taste the most, yet - still easy to drink. Good job !!

Older can from June 2022 - and the contest was already won a long time ago. Hazy, golden colour with lots of tiny, transparent particles floating around. The head is big, frothy, white with good retention and lots of sticky lacing. Big grassy, hop aromas with hints of oats over the malts. The taste also shows a little more grassiness, mild bitterness blended from the oats. Hints of citrus lingering. Might have been juicier back when it was canned, but a hoppier, hazy IPA right now.
