A red copper ale with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light vinous character, alcohol warmth, light woody notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, dark fruits, light woody, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Bières et Saveurs de Chambly 2024.

The colour is dark mahogany, almost black. The aroma is malty, light Parmigiano, candi sugar, dark fruits. Good body strength; it's sweet, good malt and caramel flavour, with a touch of smoke; mild Parmigiano again (that's probably the aging), the bitterness is very low, it magistrally hides the alcohol; the finish is rather short, even weak.
I wonder if on tap it's different, it's good but not exceptional.

After almost two years of seeking this one, I finally was able to get my hands on it. It has never been packaged and available before COVID-19 times, so at least there is something good about this shlt happening now. This one is the last (but the hardest to get due to the limitation mentioned above) of 2 beers (the Ol Keeper is almost on the way) that I need to close TOP-50 Canadian beers on RateBeer. I know that it's not the really relevant top anymore for quite a long time (f@cI( you, Joe!), but who cares really? 😁 At least, it was fun (as well as headache, tries, and entreats) to get it, hehe. So: 1L growler straight from the source @ home. Thank you, Alex L., for making it happened and leaving to pick up one of the two growlers left at the brewery just in the middle of making your 2021 Christmas tree! I hope that your girlfriend forgave you quickly, despite non-understanding of what was going on! Brewed on 12 of December 2019. Poured into the growler on 18 of November 2020. Recommended for consumption within 14 days, so I am what, 2 days late, lol? Appearance: dark copper with a huge beige head. Aroma: sweet, lots of caramel and honey, figs, raisins, dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines, quite carbonated, pretty thick, with noticeable hoppy bitterness. A slight dryness in the finish. Overall: doubtless it is good for the style. It is an old-school beer, for sure, however, as I mentioned, it was fun to get one for closing the achievement 😂 P.S. Can you imagine leaving like Alex L. did? Kinda you are guys assembling everything and then - BAM! You - I need to leave! She - what?! where the heck you are going?! You - to buy a beer for my friend! She - which friend? You - a guy from BC with who I used to trade beers a couple of years ago! She - wut?! how do you know him? Where did you meet him? You - I did not meet him... She - ??????????????????????????????????????????????????? You - leaving in the middle of the making of the Christmas tree for a beer for the guy who leaves 5,500 km away who you've never even seen in your life! This is definitely a plot for another cartoon on YouTube about beer geeks! 😀
