33cl bottle from ABCBeers. Thick white head. Slightly hazy golden pour. Some bitterness but I’d consider it more of a pale ale than an IPA

Golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, honey and hay. Malty flavour, light bitter. Malty, lingering bitter finish.
Is this an IPA? I had expected a hop profile..

Bottled, exp July 26th 2013. No clue what age it has now, as I only recently bought it. Perhaps 1 or 2 years. Clear ruby color, short off-white head. Aroma of soft spicy belgian yeast, loads of caramel malts, raisin, biscuit, cane sugar. Quite nice quadrupel / belgian barley wine style. Quite sweet taste, soft bitter. Creamy and sirupy mouthfeel. Soft alcohol burn, just perfect to be pleasant. Although not my favorite style, it’s really nicely balanced and full of flavor. Very nice brew and most likely a very well ageable product. So, rating for style is a 4.1. Rating to personal taste would be a 3.4 or something.
