On tap at the brewpub. An unclear chestnut colored beer with a creamy dark beige head. Malt driven aroma with roasted malts, prune, raisin, some toffee and dark chocolate. Some leather hints. It's creamy, smooth and full bodied, lightly warming, with a light acidity and bitterness. Roasted malts, bonfire notes, toffee, dark dried fruits, coffee grit hints, alcohol, nuts and some dark chocolate in the flavor. Medium length finish. Sure prefer an American approach to an imperial brown ale, but not bad this one. 220216

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a clear, quite sparkling golden colored body under a firm, fingerthick white head. The aroma is piney and grapefruity with some pale malts. Orange, flower hints and some dusty maltyness. It's full bodied and a bit heavily carbonated, quite dry, with a soft bitterness. Orange, grapefruit, pine cone hints and some grass and pale malts. Lasting hop driven finish. Sort of old school modern IPA. 220216

On tap @ the brewpub. Clear, deep brown body under a big, dense, tan head that slowly fades leaving nice curtains. Nice, not very strong aroma of mild dark malt and distinct dark chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, gentle roasted, smooth dark malt, dark chocolate, hint of toffee and balanced bitterness. Fine balanced body as well with a rather long lasting aftertaste. A really nice, relatively straight forward smooth imp. Brown ale without any sharp edges and well hidden alcohol. Dangerously easy drinkable.

On tap @ the brewpub. Slightly unclear pale golden body under a two finger, stable, dense, lacing white head. Nice, fresh aroma of tropical fruit. Taste is refreshing as well with mild, pale malt, medium strong tropical fruit and nice bitterness. Balanced, medium strength body and same refreshing fruity aftertaste. Nice, easy going, tasty, modern IPA with decent bitterness.

6.4/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 6 Flavor 7 Texture 6 Overall 6.5
On tap @ the brewpub. NB! Rating is based on new batch and not the withdrawn version from September. Slightly unclear golden body under a moderate sized, lacing off-white head. Aroma is mild malty with some general fruitiness. Taste is smooth, mild malt with hint of bread and toffee, some fruit, some yeast and relatively bitter for a blonde. Nice balanced body and more than less the same aftertaste all the way through. Not very typical a blond as stated on the chalk board, but easy going, refreshing, nice thirst quencher.

On tap at the brewpub. A clear looking dark brown beer with a nice creamy beige head. The aroma is quite burnt, with toast, licorice notes, some molasses and bread crust. Some dark dried fruits. It's smooth and full bodied, lightly warming and sweet, with burnt malt, toast, bonfire hints and some prunes. In the finish the burnt malts reminds me of burnt popcorn. Weird. Some nice things going on here, but it's too messy overall. 220115

On tap at the brewpub. A nice light beige head forms over a clear amber colored body. The aroma is lightly bready, with caramel, pine cones and some grapefruit. It's medium to full bodied and quite smooth on the palate, faintly warming, with a decent bitterness. Roasted malts and caramel, bread, nuts and pine cones in the flavor, with a lasting finish. Decent, but feels a bit untidy. 220115

On tap at the brewpub. A dark amber to brown beer with a nice beige head. Caramel, dark dried fruits, some roasted malts and coffee and a touch of nuts in the aroma. It's full to medium bodied, smooth and faintly warning with mostly dark malt flavors. Caramel, dark dried fruits, a strange sweetness, some dark chocolate and nuts in the flavor. Lasting finish. A bit cloying, but decent. 220125
