Dark brown, almost black body under a small, lacing tan head. Nice aroma of roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, and coffee. Taste is medium sweet, dark roasted malt, biscuit, dark chocolate and coffee. Balanced bitterness. A nice classic porter, more than less the definition of what an ordinary porter is all about. No to see them any now and then.

Looking perfect in the glass, almost clear, deep amber under a fine, laving, dense off-white head. Pleasant aroma of smooth caramel malt, hint of toffee and a floral touch. Taste is sweet and malty with soft caramel, some generic fruitiness and balanced bitterness. Fine balanced body with a nice, long lasting aftertaste. A really nice and food friendly beer for the winter season. It’s a shame many from the juicy/pastry generation might have forgotten to appreciate a fine, well-made classic beer free from adjuncts and cheap tricks.

Tap @ the brewpub. Clear amber body under a nice, two finger sized tan head. Aroma has brown malt, bread, and moderate fruitiness. Taste is malt, balanced sweetness, hint of caramel, some generic fruit, a little hint of licorice and moderate bitterness. Balanced body with decent aftertaste. Quite straight forward, uncomplicated beer, still well made and easy drinkable. Probably a god match to burgers and grilled meat. Enjoable alone as well.

On tap at the brewpub. It's a hazy golden colored beer served with a small off-white head. The aroma is citrusy and tropical fruity, with some bready, lightly caramel-ish malts. It's medium to full-bodied, semi-dry and pleasantly carbonated, with a soft bitterness. The flavor has bready malts in the back, some caramel, with grapefruity, orangey and faintly tropical hops up front. Medium length finish. Feels a bit stale this one, and a bit dull, might be due to age for all I know, but downed two glasses anyway, before switching to some nice bottled beers. 211119

On tap at Sørlandet Matfestival. It's almost black in the glass, with a dense, finger-thick pale tan head. Some curtains. The aroma has roasted malts, caramel sauce and hints of coconut, some alcohol, a touch of oats and some dark chocolate and cocoa. It's full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, smooth, with a bit more alcohol in the flavor than in the aroma. Perhaps a bit too dry. Roasted malts, cocoa, oats, caramel sauce, some vanilla and coconut and a vague coffee-ish hint in the flavor. Lasting rather dry finish with lots of cocoa. Nice indeed. 190712

On tap at Sørlandet Matfestival. A lightly hazy yellow-orange beer with a small white head. The aroma has passionfruit, pale malts wort, bread dough, a hint of yoghurt and definitely feels sourish. It's full to medium bodied, dry and sourish on the palate, with a mostly fruity flavor. Passionfruit that is. Some lemony hints too, along with doughy malts and a hint of yoghurt. Lasting mostly fruity-sour finish. A refreshing and tasteful one, especially like the low level of yoghurt aroma and flavor. 190712

On tap at the brewpub. It's a lightly hazy golden colored beer with a beautiful small offwhite head leaving lacing. There's some diacetyl in the aroma, with bread, some fruit toffee, grass hints and a generic fruityness. It's medium bodied and smooth on the palate, semi-sweet, but drier in the finish. Fruity, bready flavor with some grass and a touch of toffee and diacetyl. Medium length finish. Refreshing and quenching, but too much diacetyl. Might be the line for all I know. 210930
