Tap at American Sky. Copper tan body. massive frothy, steady off-white head. Balanced, big, sort of standard US pub fare. Some rindy citrus, but leans more into the caramel malts. OK, but standard and forgettable.

On tap @ the brewery in Hudson. Pours a hazy golden orange appearance with a thin white head. Bland, lightly spicy, buttery aroma. Tangy, spruce herbal, buttery flavor. Bad beer before they made this a popcorn firkin.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Again, either an old or infected bottle. This is the third gusher I’ve had from them. Pours a dark, dirty caramel color. Aroma of skanky malt and some pine hops. Taste is medium bitter. Hints of pine resin and a little caramel. Full bodied with a thick and slightly sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation and way too long of a finish. The finish is straight pine sap. Overall, meh. Boozy warmth is nice, but everything else is bad. There is also some weird chemical aftertaste. Regardless of wether or not it’s an old bottle, I’m done with this company. 3 different bottles of 3 different brands have all been gushers, and I’m not about to seek out a 4th.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear gold with a huge amount of white head. Maybe an old bottle? Like half the glass is foam. Aroma of some light citrus hops and a little spicy Belgian yeast. Taste is light bitter and follows aroma with a strong taste of cereal grains and just a hint of skunk. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation with a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. I’m rating this higher in a couple categories that I actually believe just because I think this is an old bottle and I don’t want to penalize the brewery for that.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy dark amber with a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of caramel and toffee with a decent hint of citrus. Taste is all malt. Caramel and toffee with a hint of skunk. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation but a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing super special but enjoyable.
